Egypt Sentences 10 to Death for Plotting Attacks on Christians Officials

An Egyptian court has condemned 10 individuals to death and five others to life in jail for framing a "psychological militant cell" to plot assaults on security powers and different foundations.

The state-run MENA news organization said the respondents are partnered with the now-prohibited Muslim Brotherhood gathering and are blamed for planning to strike security staff and state foundations, focus on Egypt's Christian minority and upset open request.

ENA says three of the 15 litigants were condemned in absentia. Life sentences in Egypt are equivalent to 25 years. The greater part of the sentences are liable to claim.

Egypt has gotten serious about presumed Islamists since the military expelled president Mohamed Morsi of the Muslim Brotherhood in 2013.

From that point forward, several Islamists, including Muslim Brotherhood individuals, have been condemned to death. The experts have completed many executions.
